Having nearly 30 years experience in hotel and resort front desks, I have gained enough experience and knowledge to ensure the front desk runs smoothly and efficiently
Services
This class will basically be a gathering of all front desk staff, as well as managers, owners and whoever wishes to attend. I will be giving advice and going over game plans of how to handle certain situations that may arise. It will be like an informal staff meeting with open discussions. There is no specific time limit or certain duration period for this meeting. The estimated time is about 2 hours.
This will be on a week to week basis working for at least 2 weeks, or however long needed, acting as a temporary manager, preferably no longer than 6 weeks. I will get familiar with the check-in system, help work the desk and just get in there hands on to observe how each employee is doing and spot train as I go. At some point during the first or second week, I will go over all the details as I would in the Hospitality and Efficiency class with the staff.
I have an eye for seeing the potential of an extremely messy, un-organized work area. I will use my skills of condensing space, organizing, and deep cleaning to make the room look like a brand new place. If requested, I will also conduct a brief meeting with housekeeping staff to show them some time saving tricks, along with stretching out cleaning products and how to fold and stack towels as neatly as possible.
